Oh my god, there are a couple of solid state parts in tube circuit, IT IS NOT TRUE TUBE TECHNOLOGY ONLY!!!!!! Well...I disassembled one of those pedals, I gues there were some solid state parts, but there were transformer and relay as well. To be perfectly honest-I don`t care that much whether there are some solid state elements or not. Tube and transformer do their job, solid state helps as well. According to homepage it depends on the model. The one thing I care-does it sound good? Well...let me put it this way-these preamps are great, they deliver classical tube preamp signal processing. If you put power amp and guitar cabinet-you`ll get pretty much the sound of tube amp. Ever since I work with IRs...well, I haven`t found the one that I like the most. And there are some limitations when you use IRs. Basically it`s for you to decide, if you care more about the sound that you hear or about the circuit.

Well, it helps sometimes. Not always. Do you know DI boxes? they have Ground Lift switch. It workes the same way. In most of the cases ground and negative cable are the same bus. To get rid of ground loops you connect only one device as usual with both positive and negative wires. The rest of the devises are attached to positive bus only. The negative bus will be supplied throught ground of the patch cable. This way you don`t have ground loops. But as I mentioned before-this works sometimes. In my case this worked with some of devices, but with some others it didn`t work. However, Harley Benton came up with their ISO Pro series, that are less than 100 euro, they are awesome and afordable. So, I purchased a couple of those, made review about them and use them ever since. And I don`t have to worry about any ground loops or look for some solutions for the problem. Back in the days when I made this video they weren`t released.

@@leothemetal thanks. For the detailed explanation bro. I have got 2 bad boys on my pedal board, mooer x2 preamp and m wave mini universe. They dont seem to get along with any other pedals i have be it digital based or analog, they produce the exact same whine as you demonstrate here. Using separate power supplies work indeed, but its bulky. Ill try this ground cut trick. But what do you suggest, do you think i should cut the grounds that i go in and out to(of) these pedals only, or vice versa?

@@captain6198 Well....Some digital devices produce some nasty noise. I suggest to grab some Harley benton ISO power supplies. They are dirt cheap and they will solve any problem.

@@leothemetal as a last resort ill buy one, its actually the shipping and the import taxes to Turkey that makes it costly for me :( its nearly twice as the units cost i need to pay apart from the netto price lol

Он на ножках. То есть ежели даже приклеить липучку велкро ко дну, то прилепить не получится, потому что до педалБорда не достанет. Ножки конечно можно открутить, но вот закрывать отверстия я не стал бы. У меня была идея-вместо ножек свертеть из жести второе дно с дырочками, чтобы и доступ воздуха был, и липучку прилепить можно было. Пока собирался с мыслями AMT уже выпустили свою серию Brick. Перешел на них, а этот аппарат пока что положил в шкафчик.

@@leothemetal а я только купил AMT S-11A как основной преамп в педалборд. Благо, педалборд на рейках, которые можно двигать и планирую, что вентиляционные отверстия не перекрою.

Well...nobody forces you to buy it :) It does exact what it is designed for-it takes signal from bass and amlifies it into line signal. you can put it either into power amp and cabinet, or you put IR on it. If you don`t like to carry huge boxes around-this is for you. :)

Сущи, дарагой, тебе рассказать что я с винтажным 6 болтовым вибрато делал? У меня со временем туго нынче, но вкратце описать могу. Я купил шурупы фирмы göldo, они дешевые, у них есть каемка где то в миллиметрах трех от головки, углубление, на котором машинка и виснет. то есть-не елозит вверх-вниз, а висит как будто это те самые двухболтовые втулки у флойда или вилкинсона. а дальше-все по классике-ставишь его параллельно струнам...ну или слегка под углом, чтобы и потянуть можно было, и опустить.

I've never tested ACpro, can`t really say something about it. The reason why I use ISO 2 Pro is because it was the first one really isolated power supply for reasonable price. so ever since I've got it I don't need any other unit.

Well, I've never had any guitars wiht angled headstock like Jackson. I think that this is poor design. One Jackson that was owned by my student got out of tune while playing bendings. I think that guitar will go out of tune with angled strings while using shaller.

Dont do this, if you have a non locking trem system its very essential to have strings straight thru the nut like a strat f.eks. a Jackson, lespaul type wich has alot of angel thru the nut goes easily out of tune, its a bad design accually. Dont buy guitars that dont have strings straight thru unless its locking nut on it

Мне самому сложно сказать...вот бывают гитары-полное говно с завода, ну-не звучат вообще. при этом вроде бы хорошо сидят в руках и геометрия у них неплохая. При этом-много денег вкладывать не хочется. Ну-в таких случаях звукосниматель Roswell вам в помощь. Если сравнить его с димарзио...ну как то димарзио предпочтительней. мне по крайней мере. Опять же-ежели много играешь на чистом звуке. А ежели исключительно хай гейновый дж дж дж...с задачей справляется на ура. А если ищете дешевый звукосниматель хорошего уровня-обратите внимание на продукцию Iron Gear. А ежели вы в стране под санкциями и никто из Великобритании вам ничего не пришлет-то вам в помощь продукция Fokin и ARB.

@@KILAgad Ну-по сути-это сигнл в размрере хамбакера. Я упомянул то, что там не четыре вывода, а два. Как их подключать-пофиг, с двумя выводами проблем нет вообще. Если два одинаковых звукоснимателя используете-то просто одинакового цвета провода на землю, и одинакового другого цвета-как сигнал. Если с другими звукоснимателями-ну поглядите, ежели в положении два звукоснимателя звук становится тише-то звукосниматель работает в противофазе, ну-разверните два провода по другому-тот что сигнал-пустите на землю, а землю на сигнал, всего делов.

Well...first of all....WHY? I used SS series for bass because I had no other options available. If you have SS11B-go ahead and try it for yourself to figure out if you like the sound or not. If you don't have it....well, there are bass preamps in the same price range that work absolutely fenomenal.

Well, before HB Powerplant there were no other options. The one thing that I haven't checked yet, is how HBs can take heavy touring abuse. Someone commented something like his PP was damaged and his expensie stopm boxes were gone as well, that`s why he doesn't trust HBs. I don`t know, how true this statement is

@@leothemetal Thanks, Leo.....I've actually got two of these, home use only. They work absolutely fine. The PSU's don't seem any more fragile than the ones that come with most pedals.... I really couldn't justify the price of the Strymons as I couldn't see a difference either. Having said that, Strymon make the best sending echo pedals, I've got a few of them and they are superb.

What's the Schafer? Did you mean Schaller? I purchased it at thomann www.thomann.de/de/schaller_vintage_tremolo_n.htm I am not sure where you are from, well in Europe Thomann would be the first choice.

Well....I don't have DS-1 to check out. First I would start with combination of SS 11A and a cabinet (or IR of cabinet). And after that I would throw some distortion or overdrive in front of it.

I`ve purchased Harley Benton Fusion 2 guitar because it was built awesome and I fell in love with it. It plays beautifully and looks great. It has roswells in it. well, ever since I have like over 10 guitars to play, I can use any of these for recording and live purposes. So I decided to keep Roswells in HB Fusion for a while. They are not bad and I can actually enjoy playing them. And for different sound I can grab a different guitar. If HB Fusion were my single instrument, then probably I would put in something different.

Why the fuck would you go to techno party if you are metalhead? :)
